Dragon Rage (Dragon/Special/Other) Always takes off 40 HPįinally, at the northern end of the lava-filled gym, you'll find Gym Leader Clair.Keep this in the back of your head, as it will allow you to avoid all sorts of frustration. These will bring you back to the entrance, without having to jump through hoops to reorient the platforms to scale them back to the south. None of these fights are particularly notable - keep in mind that should you need to escape back to town quickly to heal yourself before proceeding onward, you can use the various teleportation devices you'll encounter (as glowing circles on the ground). All of these guys have Dragon-type Pokemon, so be prepared to deal with Dratini, Seadra, Dragonair, Kingdra and Gyarados of varying levels.
This is an extremely easy set of puzzles to complete, so you should have no issues whatsoever.Įn route northward, between the various islands you'll come across, you'll face-off with five separate Ace Trainers. The idea is to use these switches in conjunction with one another so that you can continue ever-northward. The blue switch will shift the direction of the platform 90 degrees, while the arrows will push the platform in the direction those arrows face (which will differ, depending on the orientation of the platform itself). Each of these platforms has a blue switch in the center, with two arrows on either side. En route northward, you'll encounter three separate platforms that will gap chasms of lava. This gym seems devious in its setup, but you'll quickly find that there's very little of any difficulty for you to deal with here. But first things first - let's get through this gym. Thereafter, you'll be sent off to fight the powerful Pokemon League, and then the Elite Four, and finally, thereafter, the Champion of the Pokemon League, Lance. Here, you'll finally be able to take on the gym leader of this city, and earn your eighth badge. With all of Blackthorn City now fully explored (and in such a brief amount of time), it's time to head to the gym at the northern end of town.
